Hopestreet Recordings is an artist-run record label. They love records, and they love making records. They believe good music and good songs are of intrinsic artistic and commercial value. Their mission is to popularise the recorded music of the label’s artists, to help those artists connect with markets receptive to their music, and to exploit the rights we hold to the mutual benefit of artist and label both financially and creatively.
They do this by managing the entire process that a record is - from writing to production to packaging to publicity. Audrey Studios
249 Sydney Rd, Coburg
Est. in 1998 for music, composition, production, recording, mixing, audio post production and mastering.
Craig Pilkington owns the business, and is also the primary producer and engineer at the studio. He holds a Bachelor of Music and plays the guitar, trumpet, bass, keyboards and has professional skills in programming, composing and arranging for all orchestral instruments. Craig is a composer and founding member of the Killjoys. As an engineer/producer, his albums have received multiple ARIA awards and nominations. Craig keeps his ARIA award in the studio kitchen.
Heath Mackaay is an engineer at the studio. He attended the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), where he received an Advanced Diploma of Sound for Production. He moved to Melbourne in early 2009 from his hometown of Freo and joined the Audrey team shortly thereafter. When he’s not in the control room, Heath can be found mixing front of house for many emerging Melbourne bands.
A number of freelance producers and engineers (who have keys and codes) work independently at Audrey including: Anna Laverty, David Badrick, Byron Scullin & Lachlan Carrack.
Phaedra Studios

Phaedra Studios provide mixing, mastering, producing, music consultation, pre-production, instrumentation
John Lee owns and managers Pheadra Studios and he is an experienced multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, mix engineer and mastering engineer.
As a composer he has scored 65 episodes (5 series) of Channel 10s Offsrping starring Asher Keddie, along with an ABC Artscape documentary and numerous TV commercials (clients include NBA (USA), Volvo, Bonds, Myer, US Cellular (USA), Vodafone and many more).
As a producer/mix engineer he has been involved in many Australian releases from such artists as Laura Jean, Martin Frawley, Lost Animal, Beaches, Grand Slavo, Stonefield, Love of Diagrams, Pikelet, Emma Russack, Free Time, Taipan Tiger Girls to name a few. He has been actively involved as a producer or mix engineer in no less than fourteen RRR albums of the week.
He has restored and remastered some of his favourite eclectic, ground breaking and experimental compositions for the Dual Planet, Votary and Roundtable record labels.
As Mountains in the Sky he creates cinematic tone-poems that defy categorisation.
His productions are inspired by his broad appreciation of music and characterised by delicate attention to mood and emotion.
